What changes

Everyone plays, nobody waits

Most family outings split the ages: the children have fun, the parents wait. Here, up to 16 people wear a headset at the same time and move freely around the same space. You see each other, you talk to each other, you move through the story together.

The immersion is open from age 8 (and from 1.30 m tall). A session lasts 40 minutes: 10 minutes of welcome and briefing with our team, then 30 minutes of immersion. No previous experience of virtual reality is needed.

To understand in detail what sets the experience apart from an ordinary VR arcade, head to our immersive experience in Bordeaux page.

Family wearing VR headsets discovering Mars during The Echo of the Universe at Immersia Bordeaux

The experience

A journey children talk about on the way home

The Echo of the Universe takes the whole family from the solar system to the search for life on distant exoplanets: Mars and its craters, the TRAPPIST-1 system, the birth of stars, the black holes at the heart of galaxies.

The experience was developed with Dr Pierre Henriquet, astrophysicist: what your children see rests on real scientific data. In a venue like Cap Sciences, already devoted to science outreach, the outing makes complete sense.
